In September, Wild Maidenhead held its annual ‘cut and rake’ of Bray Pit. We were pleased to welcome volunteers from Windsor & Maidenhead Conservation, who mowed Bray Pit to benefit the local wildlife by slowing the decline of the variety of habitats and species in the area.
Wild Maidenhead has been set up to protect biodiversity in Maidenhead and the surrounding villages and works with volunteers to help to maintain and nurture wildlife in the local area, whilst bringing the community together.
We were delighted to be able to support Wild Maidenhead and the volunteers by funding the tools and equipment needed for their work.
