We are pleased to announce that permission for our quarry at East Burnham has been given the green light for a further four years. As part of our commitment to limit any disturbance to local residents, we have carried out a number of noise reducing measures including the construction of a double-panelled acoustic fence with a length of 75m along the haul road, the asphalting of a 100m stretch of internal road from the weighbridge and the installation of a sound wall 16m long by 5m high adjacent to the wheel cleaning facility.
Quarrying operations at the site will restart in early August, fully abiding by government guidelines on Covid-19. The quarrying and mineral industry has been among the hardest hit by the pandemic so being able to resume operations is a positive step towards the financial recovery of the industry.
